Testbed for Pipes and Pipe Systems
The testbed addresses issues related to pipes and pipe systems for water and wastewater, heat and cooling, and gas. It is unique in Sweden and has a strong international position.
Pipeline systems in the ground constitute a significant part of the infrastructure in society. They must be robust and have a long service life.

RISE collaborates with pipe and material manufacturers, contractors, network owners, industry organizations, universities, as well as Swedish and international research financiers.
The testbed is an accredited laboratory, which carries out audit inspections and prepare reports for labelling plastic pipes with Nordic Polymark issued by INSTA-CERT. In 2007, RISE became the first approved laboratory in Euroheat & Power for testing and certification of district heating pipes and fittings. SWEDAC has accredited the testbed for more than 140 test methods. Damage and failure investigations are carried out, which give our customers independent assessments.
