Contact CilliExplore how to safely operate remote assisted trucks with higher velocity in a mixed traffic environment.
The safety case will be explored by testing at AstaZero, a gated environment and will finish with a short demonstration at Lindholmen/Gothenburg.
The aim of this project is to contribute to the next development phase by systematically investigating - legally as well as technically - how to safely operate remote assisted vehicles in mixed traffic and with higher velocity. This project will have impact as we will demonstrate goods transport without a safety host onboard and with higher velocity than in today’s pilots in Sweden and international.
Partners along the entire chain from technology suppliers to operators will be accelerating development in goods transport by bundling together Swedish-French expertise and finding synergies and key aspects for enabling niche market adoption. We address the critical safety and security aspects from a legal and technical perspective to prepare for and finally run demonstrations at Lindholmen/Gothenburg. What we learn from exploring and assuring safety under all testing circumstances will contribute to theory building, practical improvement and recommendations.
Under RISE´s lead, the partners will suggest a method and a framework for safety argumentation that manages variability and all different perspectives. Recommendations for the public road application in France/EU market will be made.
