Training program for Innovation Managers

Are you curious to learn more about the role of an innovation leader, innovation management, and systematic innovation work to better succeed with renewal, transition, and innovation? If so, this training program is designed for you!

This program is suitable for individuals who participate in, lead, or organize efforts related to renewal, transition, and innovation. Whether you want to strengthen people and teams’ abilities, lead initiatives and projects for renewal, or create conditions and support for innovation and transition, this education covers it all. Even if you’re simply curious about the role of an innovation leader and systematic innovation work, this program is relevant.

Program Structure

The education program allows you to drive a focused initiative, whether fictional or real, that you can apply the course content, models, and methods to. It could be a program, project, or business development that you’re involved in.

Purpose

The purpose of this education is to empower you as an innovation leader to proactively and systematically lead and organize for innovation. It provides insights into how you can enhance innovation capabilities within your organizations and contexts, enabling you to tackle system changes effectively.

Regardless of your organization type or title, having a common knowledge base, shared language, and a unified view of the innovation leader role strengthens both individuals and the organizations they operate in.

Goals

The main goal is to provide you with a deep understanding of how to apply principles, perspectives, methods, tools, and approaches presented in the international guiding standard for innovation management (ISO 56002), along with related terms and definitions (ISO 56000). Additionally, it covers the professional role description for innovation leaders and the knowledge handbook (Body of Knowledge) developed by the professional association Innovationsledarna.

This education may also foster increased collaboration with stakeholders who rely on the standard in their work.

Program Structure

The training program’s scope and implementation can be customized based on your needs. It can be offered in physical, digital, or hybrid formats. Here’s how it’s structured:

  1. Pre-Seminar Self-Study:
    • We use a “flipped classroom” methodology. Before each session, you’ll prepare by watching inspiring videos and reading supporting articles related to the week’s topic.
  2. Participation in Seminars:
    • We start with an introduction to the topic, setting the direction.
    • Dialogues and workshop moments occur within smaller innovation teams to deepen knowledge and encourage reflection.
    • The entire group reconvenes for presentations and discussions on insights gained.
    • Seminars are the only scheduled moments with fixed times – check the current dates.
  3. Post-Seminar Assignments:
    • Each area covered has a specific individual assignment. You’ll complete tasks such as conducting short interviews, taking bold tests, or engaging in reflective exercises.
