This autumn, we are offering the opportunity to take part in the FutureReady by RISE programme online, which starts on 10 September. This programme forms part of the FutureReady by RISE research initiative, through which organisations collaborate with RISE to explore leadership in a time of transformation.
The programme will be delivered digitally and broadcast live during the 2026–27 academic year. The course will be held in Swedish and will offer:
The programme is suitable for anyone in a leadership role in education: headteachers, deputy headteachers, school directors and development managers, as well as other educational leaders.
Schools are currently undergoing several major changes simultaneously. AI is transforming the way we work and learn, new reforms are affecting how schools operate, and the demands placed on schools to perform well and develop continue to rise.
For school leaders, this means adopting a dual-pronged approach to leadership: managing day-to-day operations while preparing the organisation for the future.
FutureReady by RISE Online is a research-based leadership programme designed to strengthen the ability of headteachers, deputy headteachers and other educational leaders to lead in a balanced way during a period of rapid social change. It has been developed as part of the FutureReady by RISE research initiative, in collaboration with school authorities and leaders from across the country, to specifically address these needs.
Here's what you'll get:
During the programme, we will explore issues relating to ambidextrous leadership. These include:
You will have access to research, models and practical examples to help you understand and navigate complex change processes. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on your own leadership alongside colleagues from different types of schools and school authorities.
Price: 7,200 SEK per participant (excl. VAT) for all five sessions.
Deadline for applications: 21 August 2026
