Mudit Chordia
Forskare
Mudit Chordia is an LCA expert focused on lithium-ion batteries, with in-depth expertise in large-scale production, recycling systems (end-of-life modeling) and global supply chains of critical battery materials. His research spans from cradle to grave, linking raw-material sourcing through to cell manufacturing and recycling. He has contributed to LCA methodology by developing parameterization techniques (e.g., linking cell-design characteristics to production energy demand), addressing data gaps in large-scale battery systems and investigating the influence of background data on the product systems.
Mudit’s prior experience in the energy industry in India and Canada gives him a strong practical grounding, enabling him to bridge academic modeling with real-world energy systems and sustainability strategies. His broader interests include battery circularity, critical raw materials, supply-chain transparency and sustainable technology transitions, with particular relevance to global-south contexts.
