Mari Eriksson

Mari Eriksson is a project manager at RISE, focusing on mobility, traffic safety, and ADS certification. Mari is actively involved in developing and implementing testing and research activities at AstaZero, RISE’s full-scale test facility for future vehicle systems. Mari has a background in engineering and project management and has led several strategic initiatives in the field of safe automation.
She is the project manager for Vinnova-funded projects such as EVIDENT, SEVVOS, and SAFRAN, where Mari coordinates stakeholders from industry, academia, and the public sector to develop methods and tools for testing, simulation, and certification of automated vehicle systems. The projects address, among other things, credibility in simulation, standardization of test domains, and safety argumentation for type approval.
Mari has also been instrumental in developing strategic plans for simulation and visualization at AstaZero and has contributed to shaping future test environments for active safety functions and automated driving. She is based in Gothenburg and works closely with colleagues at RISE and AstaZero, including Timo Kero, Frida Reichenberg, and Nadja Svahn.

Mari was previously a manager at AB Volvo, where she led teams in ergonomics, user interfaces, and functional safety, as well as driving product strategies and international collaborations. She has also worked as a Functional Safety Manager at Scania, responsible for ISO 26262 compliance in high-voltage systems, safety architecture, and multi-level testing.
She is based in Gothenburg, has a large network within the automotive sector, and collaborates with colleagues at both AstaZero and RISE.
