Joakim Rosell is a Senior Researcher at RISE, working within the Human-Centered AI unit. His research combines AI safety, cybersecurity, and data science to enhance the reliability and security of digital systems.
With expertise in sensors (LiDAR, camera, RADAR), sensor fusion, and data-driven analysis, he conducts research in automated and connected mobility, with a particular focus on making the applied AI more explainable and transparent.
Joakim holds a PhD in combustion physics with a specialization in non-intrusive measurement methods from Lund University. He previously worked as a research engineer at Volvo Group Trucks Technology, where he developed perception and sensor system solutions for vehicle automation.
At RISE, his work includes multisensor fusion, anomaly detection, trajectory analysis, AI threat modeling, intrusion detection, and digital forensics – all aimed at developing robust and human-centered AI systems for autonomous mobility.
Feel free to contact Joakim for collaborations related to AI safety, perception systems, or cybersecurity for intelligent mobility systems.
