Forskare
PhD microbiologist with broad experience in microbiology, molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics. After eight years of research at the Culture Collection University of Gothenburg (CCUG), Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and the Centre for Antibiotic Resistance Research (CARe), I joined RISE in 2023 as a researcher and project leader at the Unit Medical Device Evaluation.
My research interest focuses on biomarker discovery and the development of rapid methods for infection diagnostics, characterization of novel clinically relevant taxa, and antimicrobial resistance in bacterial strains isolated from clinical samples and environmental AMR surveillance. This includes the use of genomic and shotgun quantitative proteomic approaches to evaluate the response of antibiotic resistant bacteria to last-resort antibiotics. I also work on the assessment of antimicrobial efficacy and the validation of instructions for processing of critical and semi-critical medical devices.
