Microbiology in life science - for safe and effective products

At RISE, we offer a wide range of services in microbiology and infection prevention to support research, product development, and testing within the life science sector. We collaborate with academia, industry, and healthcare providers to develop and evaluate products in areas such as medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.

RISE provides comprehensive microbiological expertise across the life sciences, from testing antimicrobial materials and infection prevention strategies to validating cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes. We work with bacteria, yeasts, and molds, offering species identification, antimicrobial resistance testing, and antimicrobial efficacy assessments using standardized methods.

Through the integration of established test methods and advanced molecular analyses, we help verify product safety, functionality, and performance. Studies can be performed in a range of test systems, including laboratory and biofilm models as well as ex vivo models such as human skin explants.

As a research institute, we combine regulatory knowledge, standardized testing capabilities, and cutting-edge scientific expertise to support clients in selecting the right testing strategy, generating robust data, and developing safe and effective products for healthcare and life science applications.
