Forskare
Dr. Emmelie Gustafsson is a Senior Researcher in Maritime Logistics at RISE, working at the intersection of logistics, resilience, and digitalization. Her research focuses on understanding and developing systems and solutions that strengthen the robustness, visibility, and adaptability of supply chains in an increasingly dynamic world.
She holds a PhD in Technology Management and Economics from Chalmers University of Technology, specializing in how digitalization influences value creation and collaboration within supply chains. In her work, she combines strategic and practical perspectives to advance more sustainable and resilient logistics systems, particularly in maritime and port-related contexts.
Beyond maritime logistics, Emmelie also conducts research in retail supply chains, exploring how digital technologies such as Digital Product Fitting (DPF) can enhance customization, reduce returns, and improve efficiency throughout the supply chain.
At RISE, she is involved in several major initiatives, including RONNIE, FLINTA, and REDO, where she collaborates with industry and public authorities to explore how digital tools, data flows, and collaboration models can strengthen both operational efficiency and societal preparedness.
