Efi Papatheocharous is a senior researcher in software engineering for RISE ICT and is based at the research Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) in Kista, Stockholm. Her research focus is on improving developer productivity and increasing software quality. During her tenure of the ERCIM “Alain Bensoussan” Fellowship Programme her research focused on Software Ecosystems for Federated Embedded Systems and Human Factors in software engineering (covering personalisation and user modeling). As one of the researchers of the Software and Systems Engineering (SSE) laboratory she is carrying out research projects, strategic planning, proposal writing (i.e., submitted to the European Commission (EC), Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (Vinnova) and other agencies), paper writing and attending research/tehnology conferences and events for dissemination. Her recent areas of interest include cloud security, software and systems architecture decision-making and agile methods in software engineering. She has extensive background of research in the areas of project management, requirements engineering and software cost estimation, and has carried out empirical and computational intelligence (machine learning) studies.
