Anders ha a PhD in Fire Technology, with a focus on fire dynamics in tunnels. Over the years he has performed research on e.g. emissions from fires and application and spread of fire fighting foams. Today, in addition to tunnels, much of Anders' research focuses on fire safety in relation to storage and handling of biofuels and waste. This also includes studies on selfheating properties. Anders is the convener of the working groups ISO/TC238/WG7 (Safety of solid biofuels) and ISO/TC300/WG6 (Safety of solid recovered fuels).
Anders is the director of the Fire Protection unit within the Fire and Safety department.
