RISE expands certification services for security companies

“When cyber threats, climate-related fires, and the need for a robust total defense are increasing, quality-assured solutions for security and fire protection become ever more important. That’s why it’s a significant step that we can now certify in accordance with the standards of the Fire Protection Association and the Theft Prevention Association,” says Tomas Holm, Head of Certification at RISE.

RISE now offers a complete range of certifications for individuals and companies within the security and fire protection sector – from fire alarms and gas extinguishing systems to camera surveillance and locks. Among the certifications are, for example, Authorized Engineer Water Sprinkler, Installer Company Intrusion Alarm, and Inspection Company Fire Protection Systems. RISE has also long had an established offering in product certification according to the standards of the Theft Prevention Association.

“Certifications are not just a mark of quality – they are a competitive advantage. Companies that can demonstrate compliance with independent standards stand stronger both in the market and in their dialogue with customers and authorities,” says Tomas Holm.

The certifications strengthen companies’ market position, as they can present independent quality certificates to customers, insurance companies, and public procurers. This increases competitiveness, facilitates business, and reduces risks linked to security deficiencies. The development is in line with RISE’s mission to support vital societal functions, total defense, and Sweden’s preparedness – and contributes to a safer Sweden.
