Purpose

Electrochemical corrosion tests using a potentiostat/galvanostat is a powerful tool for evaluation and increasing knowledge of durability of materials in marine environments.

Enables detection and monitoring of different stages of corrosion progression.

Method

A potentiostat/galvanostat can be connected to up to 8 separate cells/samples and measures corrosion mechanisms over time during exposure in natural seawater from surface and depth.

In-depth studies of corrosion protection properties can be performed using e.g. EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) and LPR (Linear Polarisation Resistance).

This service is offered in RISE lab at Kristineberg Marine Research and Innovation Centre on the West-coast of Sweden.

Deliveries

Detailed scientific reports and quick test results are offered with focus on quality and secrecy.
