AD Shield: Presymptomatic Alzheimer’s disease detection and prevention

RISE, together with Danish Brain+ and many other European parties explored how digital tools can contribute to prevent and mitigate dementia and symptoms related to dementia in clinical environments and in the home.

During the project, RISE, Brain+, Aarhus University, Aarhus University Hospital, Lytics and Sentian first researched how digital game design and design for behavior change could potentially be applied to discover, prevent and treat Alzheimers disease. Later in the project, the project partners explored how the form of dementia treatment called Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, CST, can be translated to a digital format through support tools for clinical professionals as well as relatives, acquaintances and people around people with dementia.

Participants from RISE included Kristina Knaving, Annika Gustafsson, Maja Fjällbäck, Anneli Nöu, László Sall Vesselényi and Jessica Dagman.
