Testing of photoluminescence and phosphorecent materials
RISE offers testing of photoluminescence materials which are used as marking for example emergency exit in buildings, ships and aircrafts. The material is charged by ambient light and will in event of a power failure light up and provide opportunity to find emergency exits despite darkness.

Purpose
Emergency exits shall be marked in a manner that people may evacuate a building in a efficient manner in case of fire or other emergency. Fulfiling the requirements in occurring standards for emergency signs confirms that the signs are safe and will light up despite darkness. Another example of products tested may be phosphorescent pigments and products.
Method
RISE is accredited for testing of photoluminescence materials in accordance with the requirements in DIN 67510-1, ISO 15370, ISO 16069 and ISO 17398.
Testing involves photometric measurements of luminance decay and colour of the object in daylight condition and night condition.
Deliveries
The results are presented in a report in Swedish or English which indicates that the testing is accredited.
