Methods, Instruments and Competences

We employ a variety of methods to investigate and solve problems. Below are some of the most common methods we utilize:

- Light Microscopy: A technique that uses visible light to magnify and study small objects or materials. It is particularly useful for observing surface morphology and structures at low magnification.

- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM): An advanced microscopy technique that uses an electron beam to image surfaces at extremely high resolution. It allows for the observation of details at the nanometer scale and provides information about the structure and morphology of materials.

- FT-IR Spectroscopy: A technique used to analyze chemical compounds based on their absorption of infrared light. It provides information about molecular bonds and serves as a fingerprint to identify different substances.

- Gas Chromatography (GC): A method for separating and analyzing the components of a gas mixture. It is often used to quantify and identify chemical compounds in a sample solution.

- Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP): A technique for determining element concentrations in a sample solution by measuring the mass of the charged particles generated when the sample is exposed to a plasma flame.

- Ion Chromatography: A method for separating and analyzing ions in a sample solution. It is primarily used to analyze inorganic and organic ions in water samples or biological fluids.

- Mapping: A process of creating detailed maps or diagrams showing the distribution or occurrence of different substances or properties in a process. It can include topographic maps, chemical maps, or other types of mappings depending on the purpose of the investigation.

In addition to our expertise in analytical methods, RISE also has a well-developed proficiency in handling and preparing samples, especially industrial fluids and materials. RISE offers a report that includes data in Excel format along with relevant images and diagrams. It is meticulously compiled using standard methods for the conducted analyses.
