A standardized and quality-assured data management and a scaled-up utilization of data in Sweden's municipalities is a necessity for a sustainable society. We're not there yet. Therefore, the previous project City as a Platform is now scaling up and further developing into Smart City Lab.
Smart City Lab focuses on building the technical and organizational capabilities and prerequisites needed in a municipality to collect and make dynamic data available in a secure, scalable andcontrolled way. These abilities are related to the so-called "soft digital infrastructure" which is quite similar in all municipalities but which is underdeveloped on national level. It should be possible to share data with others in order to refine data and eventually to create value from data. Without data, no data-driven innovation.
