FlexiGrid - enabling flexibility in future power grids
FlexiGrid develops new smart and flexible solutions for power grids
The purpose of FlexiGrid is to create better conditions for managing the energy transition. By developing and demonstrating a number of flexibility and market alternatives, we can meet the growing shortage of capacity and provide space for more renewables in our grids.
The project will equip DSOs with advanced tools to enhance observability and controllability of distribution networks, while demonstrating and analysing new peer-based market solutions.
In Flexigrid organizations from all over Europe cooperate, and RISE is involved in leading the work on grid services, market design, regulation and business models. This includes analysis of barriers for adoption of innovative market designs, and an assessment of the existing policy framework and development of business models to allow for increased flexibility.
Flexigrid is an innovation project funded by EU´s largest research and innovation program Horizon 2020.
