On January 26, 2021, the consortium for BETCRETE 2.0 gathered for a workshop that focused on KPIs, ie industry-wide sustainability indicators to measure, monitor and communicate progress towards sustainable change in the cement and concrete industries.
The program for the day consisted of an interesting presentation of the Climate Policy Council's tool Panorama for visualization of various industries' climate work. We within the Consortium will work closely with the Climate Policy Council to provide them with relevant and verified data.
The workshop gathered 28 participants from 20 organizations who actively discussed which KPIs we should choose. Aspects such as material flows at national and company levels were discussed, but also how to see that complexity when relating climate-enhanced concrete to the exposure class and application.
