This two-day course in standard IEC 61508 covers the requirements for both systems - hardware and software - in detail. The aim is that participants shall acquire sufficient understanding of IEC 61508 and how it is structured. This will enable self-sufficient work.

It may sound provoking, but we argue that a measurement result is worth nothing, unless the blurry zone surrounding the measured value is estimated, i.e. the measurement uncertainty. This applies in every measurement, both when used for calibration and in regular use of the instruments.

This course provides in-depth knowledge of the manufacture of molds with bentonite bonded sand, so-called green sand.

The course provides knowledge of the most common casting imperfections (defects) and how these are identified and alleviated.
