Wei Zhao, PhD, is a researcher and X-ray scattering specialist in the unit Advanced Materials and Binders. He offers expertise in advanced material analysis, material development, and conducting pilot trials to support industrial applications from concept to implementation.
With a client-focused approach, Wei collaborates closely with academia, startups, SMEs, and industry leaders to improve product performance and sustainability. His project portfolio spans diverse industries, including packaging, automotive, electronics, energy storage, life science, and sensors.

— Biopolymers (Starch, CNF, CNC)
— Advanced analytical tools (SAXS/WAXS/GISAXS, MAX IV Synchrotron Radiation, Confocal Raman)
With a proven track record in project management and team leadership, Wei delivers technical insights that drive innovation and sustainable growth. He received his PhD in Engineering Science with a specialization in Electronics from Uppsala University in 2022 and a Master of Science in Engineering in Microelectronics with a specialization in Nanotechnology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2015.
