Licentiate and doctoral degree in the area of fire spalling of concrete. Main research areas include: fire resistance of concrete, wood and steel structures, thermal properties of materials, general fire resistance performance, fire dynamics, the environmental impact of fire and CFD modelling.
Engaged in standardization in SIS/TK 181, SIS/TK 556, ISO/TC 92, CEN/TC250/SC2/WG1/TG5 and in the pre normative groups RILEM TC 256 SPF (vice chairman), Swedish CIR (board member) and CIB W014. Also active in IAFSS, SFPE and BIV the Swedish SFPE chapter (chairmen) and member of the advisory board of the journal Fire and Materials.
