As a scientific advisor at RISE Bioeconomy, my research aims at replacing fossil-based plastics in food packaging. It involves coating paper and board with barriers from forest based materials or using side streams in the pulp mill. The research projects involve people from different scientific and technical disciplines from both academia and industry.
As a scientific advisor, I also participate in the scientific community. I hold positions as adjunct professor of chemical engineering at Karlstad University and associate professor of fiber and polymer engineering at KTH. I am also involved in the organizing committee of TAPPI Advanced Coating Symposium, which I chaired from 2017 to 2020.
