Markus Eriksson

Markus is Director of the RISE Application Center for Additive Manufacturing, where he leads the next phase of the RISE AM Center, focused on accelerating the industrialisation of additive manufacturing (3D-printing) by demonstrating its business value and building strong partnerships across industry and the public sector.

With 15+ years of experience from companies such as Scania, Sandvik, Alfa Laval, Ericsson, and Volvo, he combines industrial expertise in digitalisation, supply chain, logistics, and business development with action-oriented research and innovation leadership.

He is the originator of Just-In-Demand, a concept that enables companies to align supply and demand by moving kilobytes instead of kilograms, replacing physical flows with digital inventory and distributed production. Together with leading industrial partners, he has developed and validated data-driven methods for implementing additive manufacturing in supply chains to strengthen competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability.
