Markus Eriksson
Forskare

With 15+ years of industry experience from companies such as Scania, Sandvik, Alfa Laval, Ericsson, and Volvo, Markus has a strong industrial background in digitalisation, supply chain, logistics, and business development. Combined with close collaboration with industry leaders, this experience forms the foundation for his action-oriented research at RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden.
He specializes in the business potential of Additive Manufacturing (AM) and its role in creating more agile, resilient, and sustainable supply chains. He has introduced the concept of Just-In-Demand, showing how AM can match production with real customer needs, reduce lead times, cut costs, and strengthen resilience.
His work also explores how product innovation (DFAM) combined with process innovation (e.g. decentralized production) enables business innovation. This paves the way for circular business models and Product-as-a-Service solutions.
Alongside his research, Markus is an experienced speaker and innovation coach, guiding companies and organizations on their transformation journeys.
