Vice President System and Product Safety

Elenor Bernelow-Loyd joined RISE in 2020 and is currently Head of Department for Systems and Product Safety. The department specializes in safe products, robust and resilient energy systems, total defence, system evaluation, and cybersecurity. The work spans both research and applied activities and supports the development, verification, and deployment of reliable and resilient systems and products in societally critical and industrial environments, including autonomous and unmanned systems.

Elenor has held several senior leadership roles within RISE, including Head of Department for Infrastructure and Concrete Construction and VP Total Defence. She has previously worked in governmental and regional public administration, energy supply and municipal infrastructure, as well as in industrial sectors such as automotive, transport and logistics, and the textile industry. Her experience spans both the public and private sectors, with a strong focus on business acumen, system safety, robustness, and security of supply.
