David Carlstedt
Forskare
David is a researcher at RISE in applied mechanics, specializing in the mechanical aspects of batteries and multiphysics modeling. He earned his PhD from Chalmers University of Technology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, where his research focused on multiphysics modeling (and experimental testing) of batteries subjected to, or designed to withstand, mechanical loads. David also has several years of experience in the automotive industry, including roles as a senior simulation engineer working on structural and thermal simulations of batteries and battery packs at Volvo Cars, and as a simulation engineer in structural analysis at Volvo Buses. In addition, he has contributed to teaching a wide range of university courses in solid mechanics, finite element analysis, mathematics, and battery technology at institutions in Sweden, the United States, and Denmark.
