Anna Hedén is a qualified Master Mariner with a solid background spanning maritime operations, shipping, education, and the energy sector. After spending time at sea, she chose to come ashore to further develop her expertise in the commercial side of the shipping industry, where she worked in ship chartering and gained a deep understanding of bulk transportation across both the tanker and dry bulk segments.
To further strengthen her international business credentials, Anna completed an MSc in International Trade and Transport at London Metropolitan University. Since then, her career has been characterised by a unique combination of operational experience, commercial acumen, and strategic insight.
For ten years, Anna served at Chalmers University of Technology as Course Director and Examiner within the Departments of Shipping and Marine Technology and Mechanics and Maritime Sciences. During this time, she developed a strong reputation as an educator and was awarded the prestigious Chalmers Pedagogical Prize in recognition of her dedication and excellence in teaching.
Anna also has experience from refinery operations, with responsibilities covering crude oil supply and fuel sales.
Drawing on her broad professional background, she combines technical understanding, commercial expertise, and pedagogical skill, making her a valued advisor, educator, and business partner within the maritime sector.
