Alireza Movahedi

I am a researcher at RISE within Sustainable Polymer Technology, based in Borås, holding a PhD in Polymer Technology with several years of experience in plastic and polymer‑based material systems.

My work focuses on aging and degradation processes in plastics and polymers, ranging from fundamental aging mechanisms to applications in predictive maintenance, service‑life assessment, and failure analysis. I work at the interface between material structure, environmental exposure, and mechanical loading to understand performance changes and material failure over time.
