I am a Project Manager within Diagnostics and Pandemic Preparedness at RISE, working at the interface between omics, diagnostics and measurement quality.
My background includes a PhD in Systems Biology from Chalmers University of Technology, where I worked with transcriptomics, metabolomics and metabolic engineering. Since then, I have worked extensively with molecular diagnostics, assay development, qPCR, dPCR, RNA sequencing and affinity-based plasma proteomics.
I have experience from large-scale biomarker studies involving thousands of clinical samples, including Olink Explore and Olink Reveal workflows. My work has focused not only on data generation, but also on study design, randomisation, validation, quality assurance, laboratory automation and traceability.
Today, my primary focus is on diagnostics, pandemic preparedness and the implementation of the In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR). Through my work within the European Reference Laboratory (EURL) network and the Horizon Europe project XMET, I am particularly interested in questions related to diagnostic performance, measurement uncertainty, reference systems and trustworthy laboratory measurements.
I am always interested in collaborations related to:
- Molecular diagnostics
- Biomarker validation
- qPCR and dPCR applications
- Plasma proteomics and multi-omics studies
- Quality assurance and laboratory workflows
- IVDR and diagnostic performance evaluation
- Trustworthy omics and measurement science
