Purpose

Transport tests not only ensure that your packaging protects the products that it holds but also that it can live up to the various exacting demands during a part or the entirely of the transport cycle.

Transport tests can help the process to optimize the packaging for cost, choice of material, amount of material etc.

Method

This test is used to evaluate smaller individual packages that occur within, for example, the e-commerce distribution chain.

A test may include the following sequences depending on the type of packaging system and transport chain:

  • Climate test 
  • Drop test 
  • Vibration test with and without top load
  • Low pressure test
  • Concentrated impact test
