Purpose
We offer testing in compliance with BfR XXXVI recommendations on paper and board for food contact.
The analytical results serve as the basis for demonstrating compliance with regulations, and support product development and problem solving.
Method
The combination of analytical parameters is selected depending on the properties and intended use of the material or product, based on the BfR recommendations.
Examples of testing parameters: formaldehyde, glyoxal, heavy metals, pentachlorophenol (PCP), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), biocides (e.g. isothiazolin, bronopol), primary aromatic amines (PAA), migration of mineral oils (e.g. MOSH/MOAH), transfer of optical whitening agents and colour, transfer of antimicrobic constituents (“Hemhoff test”).
For recycled paper and board, analysis of Michler´s ketone, bisphenol A, benzophenone, phthalates and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are also required.
Deliveries
The results are compiled in an analytical report.
