Korea Testing Laboratory and RISE launch collaboration in data centre and space technologies

A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) and Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) as a direct manifestation of the new bilateral innovation and research agreement between Sweden and Korea. With a shared commitment to research and innovation excellence promoting collaboration in the areas of data centre and space technologies.

“RISE and KTL share a strong will to strengthen research, technological development and innovation within data centre and space technologies. Areas with great importance for our digital and sustainable society. This MoU will also strengthen RISE international position and open new opportunities for cooperation with Korean partners in advanced technological areas”, says Malin Frenning, CEO of RISE.
“This partnership with RISE will serve as a foundation for expanding Korea-Sweden technological cooperation. International collaboration is essential to keep pace with the rapid technological changes in data center and space industries. Starting from this agreement, we hope to identify new common areas of interest and promote broader collaboration in advanced industries”, says Song Jun-Kwang, Head of Future Technology Division, representing the president.
The cooperation between RISE and KTL will cover business activities, infrastructures, R&D activities to develop joint research project for example concerning Korea's participation as an associate member of Horizon Europe.
