Purpose
Classification of a lamp or lamp system in accordance with SS-EN 62471 means that the lamp is tested and assigned a risk group which indicates what risk the lamp might pose to the user or others affected by the light.
In order for a product to be marketed it is required that the product is safe. SS-EN 62471 is one of the standards that lamps and lamp systems need to comply with in order to be considered safe.
Method
The classification is performed in accorance with applicable parts of method 4432 which is based on IEC SS-EN 62471.
Deliveries
The results are presented in a digital report in english which indicates that the testing is accredited.
RISE is also a CB Test Laboratory for IECEE and can upon request issue an IECEE-report for the test which can then be certified by IECEE through Intertek Semko.
