Purpose

The unit density is realized by a normal in the form of a sphere, whose mass and volume are traceable to the units of mass and length, i.e. kilogram and meter. 

Density measures how tightly packed matter is

Termen massa betecknar en viss mängd materia och densiteten är ett mått på hur tätt packad materien är. Den enhet som används är kg/m³, det vill säga massa per volymenhet. Densiteten behöver vara känd vid många praktiska tillämpningar.

The term mass denotes a certain amount of matter and the density is a measurement of how tightly packed matter is. The unit used is kg / m³, i.e. mass per unit volume. The density needs to be known in many practical applications.

Method

We have accredited methods for density determination of solidobjects and calibration of hydrometers and areometers.

Within the range of density, we offer calibration of the following:

  • Density - veights and other solid objects
  • Portable density meters
  • Pycnometers, hydrometers and areometers

Beroende på behov väljer vi lämplig utrustning och metod för att nå önskad noggrannhetsnivå (±0,03 - 10 kg/m3).

Deliveries

The calibration results are reported in a digital calibration certificate in Swedish or English.
