Purpose

To provide accredited antenna calibration in the frequency range 30 MHz-18 GHz for a multitude of different antenna types such as for example biconical antennas, horn antennas, dipole antennas, logperiodical antennas and hybrid antennas.

Accredited antenna calibration according to ANSI C63.5 is a requirement for antennas used in ANSI C63.4 testing.

Method

The calibration of the antennas takes place on one or both of our calibration ranges. For antenna calibration in the frequency range 30 MHz-1 Ghz the calibration is done on our OATS "Maxwell" according to the internal method 4429. If the antenna is to be calibrated in the frequency range 1-18 Ghz the calibration is performed in our fully anechoic chamber "Hertz" according to the internal method 5594. Both internal methods are 3-antenna calibration techniques according to the SSM in ANSI C63.5 (2017).

Deliveries

Calibration certificate containing the antenna gain and antenna factor, control of the reflection coefficient of the antenna.
