OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is a consumer label for textile and leather products that shows the product has been tested for harmful substances and manufactured under environmentally and socially responsible conditions. As an official OEKO-TEX® institute, we help you take the steps required to use the label.

What is OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN?

OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is not a standalone certification but a labelling system that brings together the results of two other OEKO-TEX® certifications – STANDARD 100 and STeP. The label is aimed at brands and retailers who want to communicate verified sustainability directly to consumers.

The label includes a unique, scannable ID that allows consumers to trace where and under what conditions the product was manufactured – step by step through the supply chain.

MADE IN GREEN requires two conditions to already be in place:

The product is certified according to STANDARD 100 – or LEATHER STANDARD for leather products
Manufacturing takes place at STeP-certified facilities throughout the supply chain
