OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is a label for finished products and materials in the textile and leather industry, showing that the product has been tested for harmful substances and manufactured under environmentally and socially responsible conditions. As an official OEKO-TEX® institute, we help you take the steps required to use the label.
What is OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN?

OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is not a standalone certification but a labelling system that brings together the results of two other OEKO-TEX® certifications – STANDARD 100 and STeP. The label is aimed at brands and retailers that want to communicate documented sustainability directly to the consumer.
The label includes a unique, scannable ID that allows the consumer to trace where and under what conditions the product was made – step by step through the supply chain.
At a glance:
- Requires STANDARD 100 certification of the product
- Requires STeP certification of the manufacturing facilities in the supply chain
- Includes a scannable ID with traceability
- Applies to textiles, leather products and accessories
