Despite the small scale, the system includes all essential components of the melt spinning process, enabling controlled evaluation of spinnability, fibre geometry, and processing parameters.

Our lab-scale melt spinning capabilities
Our bi-component lab-scale spinning line is designed for flexible research and prototyping. Polymers are extruded through a spin pack with integrated filters, drawn in a two-step draw zone, and finally collected on a bobbin, allowing precise control over fibre formation and early-stage material evaluation.
Lab-scale trials can include
- Mono- and bi-component fibre spinning (0.1–2 kg/h, speeds up to 2000 m/min)
- Spinning of monofilaments or 19-filament multifilament yarns
- Suitable characterisation and testing to evaluate fibre properties
