Purpose
Syftet är att utvärdera hur material och ytor samverkar vid kontakt och rörelse. Genom att mäta friktionskoefficienter kan vi bidra till att optimera materialval, förbättra produktdesign, minska slitage och förebygga funktionsproblem. Resultaten används som underlag för produktutveckling, kvalitetssäkring, jämförelser mellan material samt verifiering mot krav och standarder.
Method
We can perform several different methods to measure friction between various materials. These may include tensile and sliding tests, as well as specially adapted methods. The choice of method depends, among other factors, on:
- Material type
- Contact geometry
- Type of motion (sliding, rolling, start/stop)
- Application and performance requirements
In addition to the standard methods presented on this page, we can also assist with customer-specific testing methods, fully tailored to your requirements.
Deliverance
We work entirely based on our customers’ requirements and assist in selecting and developing the most appropriate testing method. In cases where no standard methods are available, we help develop custom methods together with our customers.
