How can we collaborate on energy in Sweden’s industrial areas?
Welcome to this open seminar where we present the results of the project LESIA – Local Energy Systems in Industrial Areas. We will share our insights, scenario findings, and recommendations for other areas undergoing similar needs of development.
The LESIA project has been carried out by RISE during 2023–2025 in collaboration with Borås Stad, Borås Energi & Miljö, Nätkraft Borås, Viareds Företagarförening, and engaged companies in the Viared industrial area.
Throughout the project, we have explored opportunities and challenges linked to local energy systems and energy communities in the Swedish industrial context. Using Viared as a case study, we have examined technical possibilities, economic conditions, and social perspectives to better understand what future energy collaboration could look like.
During the seminar, we will present key insights, highlight scenario results, and discuss potential pathways toward more resilient and sustainable energy solutions for industrial areas.
Examples of questions we will address:
The presentation will be held in English and recorded for sharing, while the question-and-answer session will be held in Swedish and will not be recorded.
We look forward to sharing our results and discussing them with you.
Welcome!
