Purpose
PMUs measure quantities such as voltage, current, harmonics, frequency, and power against a common time reference, which means that measurements can be compared between substations in real time. This is valuable as it can be used for stability monitoring, faster analysis, and more efficient utilization of resources in the power grid. For these measurements to serve as a basis for decision-making, amplitude, phase angle, and frequency must be reported correctly; therefore, regular calibration is essential.
Method
We calibrate Total Vector Error (TVE), Frequency Error (FE) and Rate of Frequency Error (RFE). The uncertainty of TVE is 0.04%
Delivery
