EN ISO 13849 - Safety of machinery

EN ISO 13849-1 affects those involved in the development and use of machines and systems with safety-related parts of the control systems. The standard was updated in 2023 and this two-day course covers the new, updated version.

By following the EN ISO 13849-1 standard, you can ensure that your machinery meets the necessary safety requirements and protect workers from injuries and accidents. This course covers all stages of the standard - from initial risk analysis to final validation and requirements for any modifications. Purpose

The purpose of the course is to provide a deep technical knowledge of the requirements of ISO13849-1, in order to get started and work further with the standard. The course will both go into detail on general parts of the standard and more detailed hardware and software parts. We start from the 2023 version of the standard.13849-1 becomes relevant in cases where the risk analysis concludes that you need to reduce risks with the help of functions implemented via control systems. The course will focus on explaining which components are included in each safety function.
