Purpose

The ability of polymeric and composite materials to withstand hydrogen service under high pressure is fundamental for their applications in such environment, including hydrogen production, utilisation, storage, transport and distribution. Different testing methods can be used to evaluate and qualify materials for hydrogen service, one of them particularly important for applications requiring sealing or barriers is the permeation test.

Method

This method measures the permeation under pressure through polymeric and composite materials. We offer hydrogen permeation tests at high pressures (up to 400 bar) and temperatures ranging from 25 °C to 200 °C.
