Biological Safety and Function
We offer everything from biological analysis related to human health to providing solid advice regarding or taking responsibility for the biological evaluation of a product. We perform cell-and tissue-based, microbiological and animal based experiments, according to standards or customised, in order to evaluate function or safety of a product.
RISE has invested in a BD FACSLyric – a flow cytometer designed to enhance precision and quality in advanced cell analysis.The BD FACSLyric enables cost- and time-efficient analysis combined with precise isolation and characterization capabilities.
We use cell and tissue-based systems, microbiological systems and animal models, and perform the studies in well-equipped and quality-assured laboratories, e.g.:
- Cytotoxicity and skin irritation tests performed according to GLP
- Wound healing models in vitro and in vivo
- Cell adhesion and cellular uptake tests
- Gene expression studies
- Analysis of inflammatory markers
- Evaluation of biocompatibility according to ISO 10993

- Infection control studies in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo
- Cancer inhibition screening assays in vitro
We have good knowledge regarding regulatory requirements and are happy to give advice regarding the planning and scope of a biological evaluation, interpretation of results and advice for registration of products.
