Testing, certification, and calibration
Do you meet the requirements that you, your customers, and regulatory authorities have on your products, services, instruments, and processes? RISE is at the forefront when it comes to business-critical measurements.
We perform inspections, calibrations and tests, and issue certifications over a wider range than any other operator in Sweden. With us as your partner, you can easily and efficiently ensure that processes, measuring devices, services, products, etc. meet the set requirements, thereby maintaining higher quality and avoiding damage to your reputation and lost business.
We offer:
Testing
How will you know if the product you developed or imported can withstand the load to which it will be subjected? Or live up to the requirements placed on it in order for it to even be sold on the Swedish or European market? The answer is simple – put it to the test!
Results from tests can provide valuable insights to use in continued product development. They can also be used as a basis for various CE markings, or why not as a basis for the development of your own production.
RISE uses thousands of different testing methods to meet the needs of our customers. We have access to unique equipment and unique environments to carry out the tests, and are also accredited by, among others, Swedac and American A2LA, proof that we can carry out tests in an independent, competent and quality-assured way. Should the situation be that there is no developed test method for your particular product, thanks to our research and experience in testing, we can develop one.
When RISE tests and evaluates products for our customers, we do not just deliver a test result. We also answer the questions how and why, and can provide suggestions for improvement.
Certification
Certification is about creating security and trust in products, services, management systems or personal competence, by demonstrating to companies, individuals or authorities that what has been certified meets requirements and regulations. A certification can be what is required for a product to be sold on a market, or for a service to be delivered. The certification also signals that companies and individuals take the quality and safety of the services they deliver seriously.
RISE is a Notified Body for some ten CE marking directives or regulations. Being a notified body means that we possess relevant technical expertise, but also that we meet requirements for, among other things, independence, impartiality and financial stability.
RISE offers three different types of certifications:
- Product certification that shows that the product meets the set requirements, and allows buyers and users to trust the product. Manufacturers need to know that their product is not being questioned.
- Personal certification that implies proof of proven professional competence in professions where authorities or trade associations impose such requirements.
- Certification of management systems that help organisations to strengthen their competitiveness by creating structure, continuity and systematics in processes and significant aspects.
We are objective in the execution of our assignments. This means ensuring assignments are carried out impartially without any personal gain and objective evidence is sought in order to show that the service or product meets the set requirements.
Calibration
Measuring instruments that show errors can be extremely costly and involve a lot of additional work. This can lead to incorrect designs that require entire product lines to be recalled, decisions to be made based on incorrect information or, in the worst case, to affect life and health. With accurate metrics, you can make correct decisions, improve the quality of products and processes, and strengthen your competitiveness.
RISE works with calibration in virtually all areas of magnitude, and in many cases we can carry out the work in the customer's operating environment. Our coordination function enables our customers to use our full range of calibration services and calibrate all measuring devices in one place. The coordination function allows us to streamline the management of calibration assignments, and thus deliver both faster and safer.
All calibration customers at RISE also get access to a complete measuring instrument register, where they can enter their own measuring instruments, calibrations and manuals – not just those that are calibrated at RISE. The register provides a good overview of which measuring instruments are calibrated and when it is time for the next calibration.
Accredited measurement site and Sweden's National Metrological Institute
RISE is an accredited measurement site and works with methods reviewed and approved by Swedac. We also have the assignment as Sweden's NMI, National Metrology Institute, and are responsible according to the Swedish constitution through their national measurement sites for the central measurement quantities in the international system of units of measurement, SI. Thanks to the expertise this entails and the research we conduct in calibration and metrology, RISE can deliver advanced calibration services to our customers.
