Methodology for Laboratory Technicians

RISE is organizing training for laboratory technicians and other lab personnel. No prerequisites are required, as the course starts at a level where everyone can acquire the knowledge.

The goal is for laboratory personnel to be able to handle basic equipment such as pipettes, pH meters, measuring flasks, beakers, and thus feel confident in performing analyses accurately.

The training covers basic aspects such as sample extraction, weighing techniques, methodology when using the most common measuring equipment in a laboratory; pipette, beaker, graduated cylinder, volumetric flask, automatic pipette, burette, titration equipment, pH meter. Handling different types of samples such as liquid, solid, volatile substances is also addressed. The basics of assessment of measurement uncertainty are part of the course.

The date is not determined; once 10 participants are registered, the date will be announced. No examination is included.

Location: RISE Hörneborgsvägen 10, Örnsköldsvik.

Minimum number of participants: 10 persons
