Forskare
Lluis Perez Caro is a researcher in the Component Manufacturing group in Olofström. He is involved in both research and commercial projects within finite element (FE) modelling and simulation of manufacturing processes of metals mainly to the automotive and aerospace industries. Lluis's research interests are:
- Thermo-mechanical forming of nickel-base superalloys (alloy 718 and Haynes 282).
- Simulation of damage and fracture during forming.
- Thermo-mechanical material characterization of deep drawing and high-strength steels, aluminium, titanium, and nickel-base superalloys.
- FE analyses of different processes in a manufacturing chain, such as forming, welding, additive manufacturing (AM), and heat treatment.
- Compensation of the forming tooling for springback and other shape deviations that occur along the manufacturing chain with focus on geometry assurance.
