Zia is a Sustainable Energy Processes Engineer with international credentials and a strong focus on energy systems, safety, and continuous improvement. He holds a Master’s in Sustainable energy processes from the University of Borås, Sweden and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lancaster, United Kingdom. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and certifications in Kaizen, Managing Safely (IOSH UK) and Risk Assessment, combining technical expertise with leadership and safety management. He is a member of the Engineering Council UK, Sveriges Ingenjörer, and the Engineering Council Pakistan.
Currently working at RISE in Borås, he specializes in abuse testing of batteries, including short circuit, overcharge, forced discharge, EIS measurements and cycling. With experience across pharmaceuticals, battery manufacturing and chemical industries. Zia brings strong analytical skills, a passion for sustainability and a commitment to innovation in testing and certification.
