Adj. Professor Cristina Rusu is Senior Expert in Microsystems at Sensors and Material group, Smart Hardware dept., Digital Systems Division / RISE. She was appointed Associate Professor in Microsystems at Chalmers Univ. in 2016 and Adjunct Professor in Wireless sensors at Mid Sweden Univ. in 2017.
Cristina's focus is on low-power (wireless) sensors for e.g. agro, water/air quality, physical properties characterisation; and on energy harvesting for self-powered sensors based on movement/ kinetic (e.g. piezoelectric) useful for predictive maintenance (e.g. industry, safety in automotive) and RFID for identification and recycling applications.
