
Daniel Brandon Ph.D. M.Sc. is an expert on timber structures in fire and the dynamics of fires within timber structures. He has authored over 30 research papers and numerous published reports. He is leading international research on this topic and is involved in international standardisation.
Daniel has received the following professional Awards:
• Foundation Medal 2019, by the National Fire Protection Association (USA) recognizing "outstanding achievements in fire and Life safety".
• Howard medal 2016 (main author), by the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK). Best paper Award recognising "exceptional quality and benefit to the civil engineering and science Community".
• L.J Markwardt Award 2019, by the Forest Products Society (USA). Best paper Award recognizing "Forest Products Journal or Wood and Fiber Science technical paper published during the previous two years that had the most outstanding merit in the field of wood as an engineering material".
